Shootout

A clean hockey romance between an NHL goalie with a guarded past and a Broadway dancer plotting her way back to the big stage. Sweet sports romance of second acts, slow-burn trust and dreams pulling in opposite directions. A Guarded Goalie. A Dancer With An Exit Plan. Six professional hockey players used to play on an elite club team together, but have all separated and now play in the pro hockey leagues. Not all of them were friends, yet circumstances bring them together, and for the greater good, maybe they can put aside their differences. Trane Jones wondered if he'd ever be the kind of guy who settled down and had a family. He had too much in his past, too much to deal with in his present, to have hope that his future would be anything other than many years as one of the best goalies in the NHL. Until he meets the new ice girl. Former Broadway dancer Janae can't seem to get a job anywhere but as an ice girl for the Detroit Comets. Her plan? To make her mark in Detroit so she can get back to Broadway as soon as possible. Things are going well. Her new dance routines for the team become an industry sensation. She predicts she'll be back in New York within the year. But then she goes out with Trane. And suddenly everything she thought was important might not be. Shootout is the final book in the Northbrook Hockey Elite series, a clean sports romance, for readers who love hockey heroes, performer heroines, guarded hearts and small-town warmth. Perfect for fans of Lauren Layne, Jenny Proctor and Courtney Walsh. Praise for the Northbrook Hockey Elite series? ? ? ? ? I loved the Belltown series which was romance with a side of baseball, now we get romance with a side of hockey. ? ? ? ? ? The plot moved along with fun twists and I kept wanting to read just one more chapter. ? ? ? ? ? This is a clean sports romance that features siblings of the Bell Town Six and more. We get to catch up on all the previous characters and meet new ones to set up this new series. ? ? ? ? ? I liked the way the relationship built throughout the book and both characters growing through their experiences. ? ? ? ? ? One of my favorite things about this series is that everyone seems down to earth, real and easy to relate to. ? ? ? ? ? Whether you are a fan of hockey or not, don't hesitate to read this book. ? ? ? ? ? I would recommend this to anyone who loves sports and a good romantic read.
